Hi, everyone.
Today, I want to tell you about Romeo and Juliet. As you know, I read Romeo and
Juliet last week and I presented the story to some of you in class. However, I
think most of you already know about the story, because Romeo and Juliet is
very famous story.
First of all, I
want to talk about the writer. The writer is William Shakespeare. He is a very
famous English poet and playwright. I think the most famous his play is
comedies and tragedies. You may know “The merchant of the Venice”, “Midsummer
nights dream” and “Twelfth night” as comedies, and you also may know “Romeo and
Juliet”, “Macbeth” and “Hamlet” as tragedies. Actually, I didn’t read all the
famous his plays, but after I read Romeo and Juliet intensively, I want to read
others.
Romeo and Juliet
is a love story, but it has sad ending. When I was younger, I thought that it
would be a love story with happy ending. However, when I noticed that it is a
sad story, I a little bit disappointed, because I don’t like sad ending.
However, it was very novel for me, because I
rarely read the love story with sad ending. Almost love stories have a happy
ending. So, though it has sad ending, I was very moved and I want to read this
story again in English version and also Korean version.
To tell about this story, there were two families
who are not in good relationships, Capulet and Montague. They were always fought
without specific reason. However, they have a daughter and a son, named Juliet
and Romeo, they fell in love. So they try to meet each other. They married
secretly, but, because of there fought, Romeo had a trouble. So, because of the
fought and misunderstanding, they just died. Yes, it is very sad story, they
love each other, but they couldn’t meet and they tried to run out of the town,
but they couldn’t do that.
I really want to recommend reading this story. Also, the other stories, too!

I very admire William Shakespeare’s literary creation.What a beautiful and sad story he composed. There’s no denying that a happy ending was most of people expected, but a sad ending can express the love between the couple more deeply, which flows into every reader’s soul. This love was difficult, but it's real. Incomplete was also beautiful, and I think that’s a reason why this work can be famous up to now.

I like William Shakespeare, but sometimes his novels are difficult for me to understand. Romeo and Juliet is the famous story and I like ths story, but I don't like Romeo. I belive that there is precise true love between Romeo and Juliet,but Romeo is not a brave and clever boy. He loves Juiet,so he should protect Juiet. He should try his best to solve the problems between the two families. Because he loves Juliet, he shoulf make sure he can create a happy life for Juliet before he married Juliet secretly. As a boy, he should take resposibility to protect the girl who fall in love with him. He promised, but he can't do it. That's why i do not like him.

I really love William Shakespeare, and I read many novels in my native language.Romeo and Juliet is the most popular story in his literature. I have been read it when I was a high school student ,and I feel empathy on them.Romeo and Juliet have a difficult love, but they never give up, and it makes me believe that there is a true love in the word.I Like love story even fairy tales.I really want to read this story in English to feel the emotion.
